AfricaCom hosted thousands of people from across the continent and the world. It was amazing being part of the Africa’s largest tech event. The 21st AfricaCom was filled with insightful talks about Africa’s digital future. The conference broadened our vision and showed us what Africa is capable of. We met with industry experts and many people who we look to create meaningful relationships with over the coming few months.

One trend that I picked up is that participation now extends beyond just the traditional networks and telcos to encompass IoT and other technologies as well. It is very exciting to note this shift and I think we will see a lot more of this going forward.

Our team had a fantastic time engaging, learning and growing.

Boosting the local ecosystem: IOT^EP

On our continued journey to build the local ecosystem and boost entrepreneurship, we are excited to announce that the next IoT^EP is taking place from the 21-23 November at T-systems offices. We have 60 participants that will undertake the journey of learning about IoT through Sigfox. Our vision is to enable them to solve, build and commercialise IoT solutions that our partners can then take into the market.

We are highly encouraged by the support that has been shown to the program by our partners which include Business Doctors, T-Systems, Adroit and AXIS. Watch this space for the final outcome of the program.
